Insurance Information

Our administrative staff deals with hundreds of insurance companies. Some companies offer different dental and medical plans and some companies combine dental and medical coverage. This insurance alphabet soup changes policies and guidelines weekly. At times, it is almost impossible to accurately estimate our patients' insurance co-payment. Some insurance companies will not give out fees until after the treatment is completed. Dealing with these companies can be difficult and time consuming. As a courtesy, we ask that you keep us informed of any change to your insurance. It is important that all information about you and your insurance is current.

We can file to most insurance companies and, in fact, are in-network providers with many of the larger dental insurance companies such as Delta Dental, Aetna PPO, Cigna HMO, BlueCross/BlueShield, Connection Dental and Ameritas (just to name a few).  If you have specific questions regarding whether we accept your particular insurance plan, please feel free to contact our office and we will do our best to advise you.

If you have insurance:

  • Aetna PPO, Delta Dental of KS, Delta Dental of MO or BlueCross/BlueShield of KC  No payment is expected at your initial visit.  However, a copayment will be expected  at any following visits.
  • Cigna HMO/DMO
Copayment is expected according to your particular patient charge schedule.
  • Any other insurance company
Payment for the exam fee is expected on the day of service. As a courtesy, we will submit your procedures to your insurance company. (If payment from the insurance company results in a credit on your account, we can reimburse you or this amount can be kept on your account to be used toward a copayment for a future visit.)  We accept most insurance plans and are in-network providers with at least 10 of the major companies.
  • PREAUTHORIZATIONS
We will preauthorize most treatments beforehand; therefore, we will know what your copay will be. (We make no guarantee of any estimated insurance coverage.) Copayment will then be required on the day of your treatment. If payment arrangements are necessary, they must be made in advance.

If you do not have insurance:

  • Full payment is expected at each visit.  If payment arrangements are necessary (for appointments after your initial consultation) they must be made in advance.
